Asus’s wild new Evangelion collab lets you anime your whole PC setup

We initially thought the collab was a few pieces of hardware, but it turns out Asus is releasing Evangelion-themed computer peripherals and clothing.

When we first reported the Asus ROG collab with Neon Genesis Evangelion, we saw a preview of it after an eagle-eyed Twitter user found the graphics card and motherboard already up for preorder through a third-party retailer.

Turns out the Asus and Evangelion collab actually includes more than a dozen pieces with designs inspired by the iconic mecha anime, including a pair of graphics cards, a monitor, mousepad, and probably the coolest router ever.

Sorry MSI, but Asus has clearly got you beat here.

We already knew about the ROG Maximus Z690 Hero EVA Edition motherboard, but there’s no harm in appreciating that sweet I/O cover that can switch between normal and berserk modes.

This router has to be the best design of the collab with its antennas modeled after Unit-01’s shoulder plates. Asus even made the router’s app UI look like an A.T. Field, which is just, *chef’s kiss.

The collab also includes some NERV-branded pieces, including an AIO cooler, portable SSD enclosure, and a 1000W power supply that comes in a burly case.

100% sync

To fully be in sync with your Unit-01 gaming rig, you’re going to need all the peripherals from this collab. Here’s the ROG Strix XG27AQM EVA Edition monitor that has a 270Hz refresh rate, 0.5 ms response time, and a QHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440.

The full kit

There’s even a computer chassis with RGB lighting, headset, mouse and keyboard, all sporting the purple-and-green color of Unit-01. Just look at those gorgeous custom art keycaps.

Asus said preorders will be available in early June for North America through the Asus store and certain retailers, so get your wallets ready.
