Without seeing them in person, the P50 Pocket looks a little bulkier than its clamshell competitors. According to a report from Chinese tech news site mydrivers, the phone is expected to have a 6.8-inch internal screen and a 1-inch circular outer screen.

From the teased images, it looks like the P50 Pocket shares design elements to the base P50 model that Huawei released in August, like its large camera bumps that got mercilessly roasted.

Huawei is no stranger to foldable phones, having previously released its Mate X2 and Mate Xs. But, the P50 Pocket’s clamshell design looks more comparable to that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3.

Sticking with the two-bump design, Huawei seems to have redesigned the P50 Pocket’s second bump to serve as a lock screen and selfie mirror.

The P50 Pocket is also being built with a Kirin 9000 processor and three cameras, a 50MP traditional lens, a 13MP ultra-wide option and an 8MP telephoto lens, according to mydrivers.

If the P50 Pocket piques your interest, using one might ultimately prove challenging. U.S. companies were banned from working with Huawei, meaning the phones wouldn’t come with certain apps like Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, or Play Store.

Huawei’s hairy situation in the U.S. also includes being designated as a national security threat and a report from The Washington Post that the company worked on a facial recognition system to detect Uyghurs.

Ultimately, the decision is up to you. Huawei said on its Twitter that the P50 Pocket will be officially announced on December 23.
