At its “Peek Performance” event on March 8, Apple announced a new green iPhone 13/13 mini and Alpine Green iPhone 13 Pro/13 Pro Max.

It’s the same iPhone 13/13 mini and iPhone 13 Pro/13 Pro Max... but in new colors.

How green are these iPhones?

The green iPhone 13 mini (same as iPhone 13) is a much richer pine green.

Matte anodized aluminum rails that are fingerprint-resistant.

Same great Super Retina XDR display. Same powerful A15 Bionic chip. Same smaller notch. Same longer battery life. Same 5G (both Sub 6-GHz and mmWave). Same everything as a non-green iPhone 13 mini. Same starting price at $799.

Same Lightning port. Same MagSafe charging. Same Ceramic Shield display. You get the idea.

Just green. It’s a very vibrant and rich green.

The Alpine Green iPhone 13 Pro / 13 Pro Max is the same story. It’s identical to the 13 Pro models in other colors.

At first, you might think this Alpine Green iPhone 13 Pro is the same shade as the Midnight Green iPhone 11 Pro. It’s actually brighter.

Green throughout the years

Here’s how the green iPhone 13 mini and Alpine Green iPhone 13 Pro Max compares to the Midnight Green iPhone 11 Pro.

As you can see, the Midnight iPhone 11 Pro looks more gray than green (at most angles). Midnight indeed.

The terrific triple-lens camera system is unchanged.

Of course, the only downside with the Alpine Green iPhone 13 Pro/13 Pro Max is the stainless steel frame, which smudges instantly. Get a case to fix that.

The Alpine Green iPhone 13 Pro/13 Pro starts at the same $999 and $1,099, respectively. If you like green, it’s a simple choice. If you don’t, Apple has plenty of other colors to sell you an iPhone 13/13 mini or iPhone 13 Pro/13 Pro Max in.
