These are the absolute best Halloween sneakers dropping this year

You have no shortage of options to celebrate the holiday.

If you follow the lead of sneaker brands, Halloween isn’t just to be celebrated with a costume you’ll wear for one night. Every year, the likes of Nike and Adidas trot out spooky takes for some of their most popular silhouettes, and 2021 is proving to be an especially bountiful year for Halloween lovers.

Nike

To help you celebrate the holiday, we’ve put together our favorites from this year’s Halloween assortment. And if your vibe is always kind of spooky, don’t let anyone stop you from wearing them all year long.

Nike Air Presto “Halloween” ($150)

October 21

Nike

Mismatched spider and Swoosh embroidery appear across the vamp for the Air Presto, one of NIke’s most underrated silhouettes of all-time. Even more fun is another spider hanging of the insole’s Swoosh logo, while the heel is printed with the same eye graphic found on the next sneaker on our list.

Nike Air Force 1 “Halloween” ($130)

October 21

Nike

This Air Force 1 truly comes to life once you envelop it in darkness. A series of soul-piercing eyes glow in the dark to prove Nike never runs out of ways to make the AF1 feel fresh.

Vans Sk8-Hi “Nightmare on Elm Street” ($80)

Out now

Sports Lane NY

Vans began its Halloween celebration early in the month with a massive capsule of sneakers made in collaboration with some of the best horror movies of all-time. The highlight of the lot is a Nightmare on Elm Street SK8-Hi that does what Nike could not, getting an official sign-off for the Freddy Krueger sweater design.

Vans

Adidas Forum Low “Dracula” ($TBD)

Release date TBD

Adidas

Adidas is still keeping its plans close to the chest as October 31 draws nearer, and we’re eagerly awaiting official release details for its “Dracula” Forum Low. A bat-like fur is used sparingly throughout the upper, while silver fangs are amongst the coolest lace dubraes we’ve ever seen.

Adidas

Adidas Superstar “Halloween” ($110)

Release date TBD

Adidas

Also in the pipeline from Adidas is a Halloween-themed Superstar that hews closer to cliche but doesn’t suffer from lack of fun. Once again the lace dubrae is the star, this time in the form of a jack-o’-lantern, while black corduroy, purple plaid, and a bright green shaggy sock liner bring a wonderful mix of color and texture.

Adidas

Nike SB Dunk Low “Mummy” ($110)

October 25

Nike

Nike’s mummy-themed SB Dunk Low is one of the most creative takes on its most in-demand silhouette. A bandage-like, pre-distressed canvas makes up the upper with glow-in-the-dark detailing, a creepy pair of eyes on the heel, and spider embroidery. It’s worth getting your Brendan Fraser on to track down the Mummys at your local skate shop.
