Bring on the Samsung Galaxy S21 leaks

To no one's surprise, leaks about Samsung's next Galaxy phone are already funneling in.

The new Samsung Galaxy release is likely just around the corner and unsurprisingly, the leaks have been rolling in.

While some critical info (like price) remains a mystery, we already have some credible rumors on specs, cameras, release date, different models, and even some unofficial renders.

Here's everything we've heard so far...

A trifecta

According to leaked renders seen by Android Police the new Galaxy family will include three different phones: the Galaxy S21, the Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. As you may have already imagined, there are a few specs that separate the new devices including display size. The S21 will be 6.1 inches while the S21+ and the S21 ultra will be 6.7 and 6.8 inches, respectively.

A few snaps...

While the official press pictures leaked to Android Police haven't been made public, frequent Samsung leaker OnLeaks posted renderings in October. Like any non-official rendering, the pictures might not be an accurate depiction of the eventual Galaxy lineup, but past leaks have been fairly accurate...

Premium price = premium cameras

Android Police reports that the base S21 and the S21+ will use the same camera system which includes a 12-megapixel primary lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens. The Galaxy S21 Ultra, on the other hand, will have a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 108-megapixel main lens, a 10-megapixel 3x optical, and a 10-megapixel 10x optical lens.

Android Police reports Samsung will add new features to its cameras across the board, including the ability to record in 4K and 60 fps on all cameras — catch up to the iPhone. A new dual recording mode will also allow you to record from both the front and rear-facing cameras simultaneously.

Each phone will also have a significantly bigger battery starting at 4,000 mAh for the Galaxy S21, and filling 4,800 mAh and 5,000 mAh for the S21+ and S21 Ultra, respectively.

It wouldn't be a 2020 flagship without 5G. According to Android Police, all three of the phones will 5G-ready, and support Wi-Fi 6.

Phantom of the optics

The Galaxy S21 and S21+ will also come in several colors, including Phantom Violet, Phantom Gray, Phantom White, and Phantom Pink. Phantom Silver, Phantom Black, and Phantom Violet will be exclusive to the S21 Ultra.
